My, how times have changed! In the four decades The Dakotan has been in print, the news business has said goodbye to typewriters, photos on film, and layouts arranged by hand. Computers, digital photos, and uploading to "the cloud" are now our new normal.
So many changes! But what hasn't changed is the importance of a hometown newspaper. Even in this digital world, there's something special about sitting down to read through the paper, to see what's going on in your community.
Since purchasing The Dakotan on July 1, 2018, I've been absolutely heartened by your support and encouragement. I hope you enjoy reading this great little paper as much as I enjoy putting it together.
